Last night the board members were sworn into the ranks of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Oakland County Sheriff Lodge 195 was formed.
The OCDSA will retain their autonomy as a union but will now also be able to reap the many benefits of belonging to the FOP. One of these benefits is the Legal Defense Fund, which covers all legal expenses of officers charged with a crime while performing their duties on the job.
More information will be forthcoming shortly but this is a monumental moment for our members. All dues and expenses for membership to the FOP will already be covered by your current union dues.
